Woman held over stabbing released

A 51-year-old woman arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Gainsborough has been released without charge, police said.

John Sinnott, 42, died from stab wounds last Friday, a spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said.

Mr Sinnott died in Scunthorpe Hospital after he was stabbed near his Tennyson Street home in Gainsborough early on Friday morning.

Stephen Buckley, 37, from Gainsborough has been charged with his murder.
