Two arrested after fatal stabbing

A man has died after being stabbed in an incident in a Lincolnshire town.

Police said they were called to Tennyson Street, Gainsborough, in the early hours of the morning and found a badly wounded 42-year-old man.

He was taken to Scunthorpe hospital but died shortly afterwards. A 37-year-old local man and a 51-year-old local woman have been arrested.

Part of the town centre has been cordoned off and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
