Fatal crash victim is identified

A 26-year-old Lincolnshire man who died in a collision between a car and a scooter has been identified.

Jason Samuel Bennett, 26, from Skidbrooke, who was riding a motorised scooter, sustained fatal injuries in the collision near Louth on Thursday.

Officers are awaiting results of a second post mortem examination to determine his cause of death.

The driver of the Land Rover, 29, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was shocked but not hurt.

Officers said the driver from the South Somercotes was being questioned at Skegness police station.
