Theme park to get concert venue
The owner of a Lincolnshire theme park has pledged to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on new facilities.
Conduit Leisure said it will add a 6,000-seat indoor arena to the Fantasy Island complex at Ingoldmelds.
Chairman Laurence Davies said the firm wants to attract both holidaymakers and convention delegates to the resort.
East Lindsey District Council said: "It is a phenomenal investment and it shows the firm is certain there is a long-term future for tourism here."
The work should start in the autumn, Mr Davies said, adding he also wants an ice pad installed in the new arena.
The indoor arena would be able to host concerts and conventions.
"It is a very exciting time for us - we have already done some upgrade work on our holiday accommodation," he said.
