Violent crime in a Leicestershire town has fallen during a crackdown over Christmas, according to police.
Assaults in Hinckley between 1 December and 1 January fell from 12 the previous year to 7 this year.
The figures included common assault, actual bodily harm (ABH) and grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Another 20 people were arrested for drug offences. Police said they would not tolerate such crimes.
Officers worked with the Community Safety Partnership to hand out leaflets giving advice on how to stay safe at Christmas as well as targeting drunk and drug-fuelled violence in the campaign.
