New Year murder trial under way

A new jury has been sworn in in the trial of four people accused of murdering a Leicester teenager.

Bradley Whitfield, 16, was attacked on Fosse Road South in Leicester as he walked home from a New Year's party.

Nicola Faulds, 32, and Darren Carr, 35, of Caldecott Road, Braunstone, both deny murder along with two teenagers who cannot be named.

The former jury was discharged for legal reasons and the trial restarted at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.

The teenager bled to death from a 2.5in (6.4 cm) wound to his neck, the court heard.
