Passengers travelling to East Midlands Airport have been warned to expect delays during the British Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The event, which is expected to attract 50,000 people, is being held at Donington Park from Friday to Sunday.
Traffic plans have been put in place and passengers are advised to use motorway routes where possible.
Colleen Hempson, Surface Access Manager at the airport, said people should allow an extra hour for their journeys.
She said: "The Motorcycle Grand Prix is a popular event therefore traffic congestion is unavoidable.
"In addition, on Sunday there will be several one-way traffic management schemes in place so it is essential that passengers follow diversion signs and instructions by traffic management personnel on the day and stick to motorway routes wherever possible."
