Witness sought after sex attack

Police are looking for what could be a vital witness after a sex attack on a teenage girl in Leicestershire.

The victim was walking through Donkey Park in Syston on Wednesday afternoon when she was grabbed by a man and dragged into undergrowth.

She eventually got away and was taken home by a female member of the public.

Officers said they were keen to talk to this woman, who had a pushchair. The girl was not physically hurt but was left badly shaken.

The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 10ins (1.77m) tall, very thin and aged between 50 and 60.

He had scruffy dark brown hair about three inches long and black stubble.

Police said a warning had gone out to nearby schools.
