Man dies in single-vehicle crash

A man has died after his Land Rover left the road in Leicestershire.

Steven Bennett, 40, of Holwell, died in the single-vehicle crash on Stone Penn Lane, at Ab Kettleby, on Sunday.

A second occupant of the vehicle received minor injuries. He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary but has now been discharged.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said a 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail.

Officers appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
