Brick is thrown at tractor driver

Police have appealed for information after a brick was thrown at a tractor driver in part of Leicestershire.

Officers said they thought one of two passing motorcyclists threw the object on Cosby Road, Cosby on 23 May.

The driver, who was mowing grass verges at the time, was uninjured. The brick caused damage to the side windscreen and bodywork of the tractor.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson described the incident as "very serious" and appealed for witnesses.

Pc Kal Uppal said: "It was very fortunate that the tractor driver escaped injury.

"I am particularly keen to hear from a female motorist who it is believed was driving behind the tractor and swerved. This motorist could have information that is vital to our enquiries and I would urge her to contact me."
