Dirty looks for topless carwash

Residents of a Leicestershire village are getting themselves in a lather over the latest addition to their local industry - a topless carwash.

Babes n' Bubbles says it is providing good, clean fun but locals say they do not want Burbage put on the map for offering this specialised service.

The company has had 9,000 hits on its website and over 150 customers in five days, bringing in £900 per day.

The owner insists no laws are being broken and planners are on side.

The carwash is on an industrial estate which means there has not been a change of use in the eyes of local planners.

The parish and borough councils have received several complaints and police are keeping an eye on the business but say there is nothing more they can do.

The female employees earn £50 pounds a day plus tips and will become partners in the business if it takes off, with two more sites due to open in Derby and Nottingham.
