Girl sexually assaulted in park

A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted by a man she had earlier met in a takeaway in Lancashire.

The 16-year-old spoke with her attacker in the shop in New Hall Lane, Preston, in the early hours of Saturday.

They walked to Waverley Park and the the man suggested taking a short-cut through the bowling green area, before he indecently assaulted her.

The girl was helped by a woman who let her use her phone. Police are urging the woman to come forward.

The attacker was an Asian man, about 6ft (1.8m) tall, and was slim with short black hair. He was wearing a striped top and blue jeans.
