A man has died after a fire engulfed a house in Lancashire, said police.

Firefighters attended the blaze at the property on Buttermere Road in Brunshaw, Burnley, just after 1945 GMT on Tuesday.

The victim, who has yet to be identified, was found dead in a chair in the living room, a spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said.

An investigation has been started by police but the blaze is not believed to be suspicious.
