A 56-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a couple found dead at a house in Blackpool.

Officers launched a double murder investigation as the bodies were found at an address on Central Drive.

Post mortem examinations found 59-year-old Thomas McLoughlin and Helen Cox, 40, died of multiple stab wounds.

Graham Cox, from Blackpool, was arrested in Wolverhampton on suspicion of murder and is being taken to Lancashire for questioning.

Mr Cox will appear before Blackpool magistrates on Friday.
