Man killed in accident on bypass

A man has died in an accident on a bypass in east Lancashire.

The A56 Edenfield bypass between Haslingden and Edenfield was closed in both directions after the crash in the early hours.

Fire crews were called to cut the man, believed to be from Manchester, from the wreckage.

Accident investigators have been working at scene to try to discover how the crash happened. There was only one car involved.
