Eight men quizzed over kidnapping

Eight people have been arrested over the kidnap of a man in Preston.

A BMW, driven by the 21-year-old man, was deliberately hit by a van on Fishwick View on 11 April, police said.

A gang of men jumped out, dragged the man out and put him in the van where he was assaulted and kept captive for three hours.

The eight men, from Preston, Blackburn and Burnley, have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment, robbery and assault.

Police believe the incident is linked to a shooting in the city later the same night.
