Teenager charged with shop raid

A teenager has been charged with an armed robbery at a convenience store in Lancashire.

The incident took place at the Spar Shop on Poplar Avenue in Bamber Bridge on Wednesday night.

Police said an 18-year-old, of Preston, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm and robbery.

He was also charged with a breach of an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) and was due to appear before Chorley magistrates on Saturday.
