Driver dies in city centre crash

A 23-year-old man has died after a head-on crash in Preston.

He was driving a Citroen Saxo along Tulketh Brow towards the city centre when the crash happened just before 2320 BST on Tuesday.

Lancashire police said he turned left at traffic lights but lost control and crashed into an oncoming car.

The man, who has not been named but is from Preston, was taken to hospital where he died from serious head and internal injuries.

An investigation is being held into the cause of the crash.
