New service to Menorca announced

The low-cost airline Jet2.com has announced a new route from Blackpool to Menorca, in its newly-released summer 2009 schedule.

It will take the total European destinations served from the North West base to 10.

The budget airline already flies to destinations such as Alicante, Ibiza, Geneva and Belfast from Blackpool.

Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: "Blackpool is proving to be an increasingly popular departure venue."
