Lorry overturns in motorway crash

A lorry which overturned on the M6 caused long delays for drivers in Lancashire in the rush hour.

The lorry turned over onto the central reservation and hit a Nissan Sunny car on the southbound carriageway near Charnock Richard at about 1730 BST.

Lancashire Constabulary said two lanes of the M6 were closed while the vehicles were recovered.

Officers said emergency services were called to the scene, but no-one was injured in the crash.
