Motorcyclist killed in bus crash

A motorcyclist has died after his bike collided with a bus on one of Blackpool's busiest roads.

The biker, who is in his 40s, was killed in the crash on Squires Gate Lane at its junction with Lindale Gardens on Saturday morning.

The eastbound carriageway of Squires Gate Lane was closed while accident investigators attended the scene.

Lancashire police want to speak to a man who was seen walking his dogs in the area at the time of the accident.

Anyone who may have seen the crash is asked to contact the police.

Sgt Peter Beresford said: "I would appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact us and I'm keen to hear from people who may have seen the bus or bike prior to crash, and in particular a man who was walking his dogs.

"Also, anyone who was travelling eastbound towards that junction who may have witnessed something should contact us."
