Man charged after two assaulted

A man has been charged after two men were stabbed in a fight in Lancashire.

The disturbance broke out on Blackburn Road in Great Harwood at about 2320 BST on Friday night, forcing police to close part of the road to the public.

Two men were seriously assaulted and both remain at the Royal Blackburn Hospital in a serious condition.

Yaseran Ilyas, 26, from St Edmund Street, Great Harwood, has been charged with wounding and is due before Hyndburn magistrates on Monday.

Seven men were arrested over the incident but six have since been released.
