Illuminated cars parade in resort

Illuminated car (pic courtesy of Blackpool Council) A motorcade kitted out with light bulbs and special effects is to drive through Blackpool as part of the resort's illuminations festivities.

The Illuminated Art Car Parade will see about 20 vehicles drive along the promenade and back in convoy.

The parade will include a lit metallic fish built on a Nissan Micra as well as a flame-projecting fire engine.

The parade starts at 1900 BST from St Chads Headland and drives north of the Promenade before returning at 2100 BST.
