Missing girl appeal on Crimewatch

Maxine Bindi Police searching for missing schoolgirl Maxine Bindi have made a fresh appeal on the BBC's Crimewatch programme for her to return home.

The 13-year-old, from Fleetwood in Lancashire, is believed to be with 37-year-old Alan Keegan, but has not been seen since Sunday 2 October.

Maxine's mother joined Lancashire Police on the programme in an attempt to find out where she has gone.

Maxine is mixed race and has brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair.

Burn scar

Detectives say she was last seen getting off a tram at Central Pier, Blackpool.

She was wearing a white hooded top with a monkey on the front, and pale blue jeans with pink hearts on the back pockets.

Maxine has a burn scar on one of her hands.

Alan Keegan is about 5ft 10in tall, with blue eyes and weighs about 18 stone. He has black collar length hair, which is receding and going grey.

Her mother met Mr Keegan in an internet chatroom and he moved into the family home before their relationship broke down.

Police are concentrating their search in Blackpool and in Galway, southern Ireland.
