Police say they are now "gravely concerned" for a schoolgirl who has gone missing with a man her mother met in an internet chatroom.
Maxine Bindi, 13, from Fleetwood, Lancashire, is believed to be with 37-year-old Alan Keegan, but there have been no sightings of the pair.
Maxine's mother Bridget appealed for her daughter to come home, saying her disappearance was out of character.
Keegan has links in Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin and Galway.
Maxine was last seen getting off a tram at Central Pier, Blackpool, on Sunday 2 October.
The girl has gone missing once before for a night and was found in Manchester city centre. Police believe she had been with Keegan.
"I want my daughter back home with me"
Her mother met Keegan in an internet chatroom and he moved into the family home before their relationship broke down.
Bridget Bindi said: "She is only 13 and I am very worried that she has not phoned any of her friends, or me.
"Someone somewhere must know where she is. I want my daughter back home with me."
Police have set up an incident room in Fleetwood to co-ordinate the search for Maxine.
Burn scar
Det Supt Paul Buschini, of Lancashire Police, said: "I am very concerned for her physical and moral well-being.
"A particular worry for me and my officers is the absence of any contact from Maxine with her family and friends."
Maxine is mixed race with shoulder-length black hair, usually in a ponytail.
She has brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white hooded top, with a monkey on the front, and pale blue jeans with pink hearts on the back pockets. Maxine has a burn scar on one of her hands.
Alan Keegan is about 5ft 10in tall, with blue eyes and weighs about 18 stone. He has black collar length hair, which is receding and going grey.
