Three men steal man's £1,700 wage

A man has been robbed of £1,700 in cash by three offenders, thought to be teenagers, in an attack in Kent.

Police said the 26-year-old victim was threatened with what was believed to be a knife by the robbers during the incident in New Romney.

They knocked him to the ground and took the wages he was carrying in cash in his pocket, officers said.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said the man suffered cuts and grazes and did not need hospital treatment on Friday.

Ski masks

Appealing for witnesses, she said the the attack happened at about 1620 BST in Lions Road.

The three offenders were all dressed in black and were wearing ski masks, she added.

She said the victim described them as white and guessed that they were in their teens.

They ran away through a nearby churchyard after the attack.

Officers have appealed for information.
