A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder after the discovery of a body at a flat in Kent.

Police were called to the property at Conyngham Close, in Ramsgate, on Wednesday afternoon after neighbours found the body of John Joyce, 64.

David Alberto, of Albert Street, Ramsgate, was charged with the killing on Friday.

Mr Alberto was due to appear before magistrates in Dover on Saturday, a spokeswoman for Kent Police said.
