A controlled explosion has been carried out after an unexploded bomb was found on a beach in Kent.
The 12in (30cm) ordnance from World War II was discovered by a man walking in Reculver, Herne Bay at about 0920 GMT.
Kent Police called bomb disposal experts on Friday who later carried out a controlled explosion.
A spokesman said the area where the bomb was found was quite secluded but it was cordoned off until the army disposed of the item.
