The pilot of a light aircraft has suffered serious burns in a crash.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the aircraft came down in an orchard near Matts Hill Road, Rainham just before 1600 BST on Saturday.
The bi-plane, with only the pilot - a man - on board, had left Rochester Airport at about 1500 BST.
The injured man was pulled from the wreckage by firefighters and taken by air ambulance to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex.
It is not believed anyone else was hurt in the crash.
Air accident investigators have been informed.
