Driver killed in collision on A20

A 61-year-old woman has died in a collision between a car and a pickup truck on a Kent road.

The fatal crash happened on the A20 between West Malling and Addington at about 1715 BST on Thursday.

The woman, who was driving a Toyota Yaris, was treated by ambulance staff but died at the scene.

The 41-year-old male driver of a Mitsubishi pickup truck, suffered whiplash injuries and was taken to Maidstone Hospital.

Kent Police said the road was closed for more than three hours while officers from the serious collision investigation unit examined the area.
