Vice charge woman sent to prison

A 56-year-old woman has admitted a charge of conspiracy to control the activity of prostitutes for gain.

Yoke Chan Li, of Ramsgate, Kent, appeared at Canterbury Crown Court to answer the charge relating to a two-month period last year.

The judge sentenced her to eight months in prison and told her she would be recommended for deportation.

She was arrested by police in January following raids at addresses in four towns in Kent.
