Burglar targeting food and drink

A night-time burglar has been breaking into people's garages and raiding their fridge freezers for food and drink.

Kent Police said the thief stole items including wine and beer, worth a total of about £1,000.

The break-ins at six garages in Folkestone took place over two weeks, all in the early hours.

Residents have been warned to ensure their garages are locked and secure, and if possible to use security lighting and an alarm.
