Pedestrian fatally hurt in crash

A pedestrian died when she was hit by a lorry as she crossed the road in a North Lincolnshire town.

Dorothy Murphy was on a pedestrian crossing at Market Place, Barton-Upon-Humber, when she was hit.

Humberside Police said the 74-year-old woman, of Mill Lane, Goxhill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry, a 37-year-old man from Norfolk, was not injured. Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision on Monday.
