Detectives in East Yorkshire are still holding a suspect over the murder of a man at a remote beauty spot.
Police have been questioning the 25-year-old since he led them to the body of a man hanging from a tree near Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough, on Monday.
The victim has now been named as Derek Byfleet, 76, of Ringwood Avenue, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Humberside Police have been granted until 1800 BST on Wednesday to continue questioning the suspect.
'Tragic circumstances'
Mr Byfleet's body was found hanging on Stone Pit Lane in the remote agricultural village at 0410 BST, police said.
He leaves a wife, two daughters and one son.
Officers are making inquiries in Chesterfield to establish Mr Byfleet's movements in the hours before his death.
He is known to have visited a patient at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on Sunday evening, and he left his car in a car park at the rear of the hospital.
Det Ch Insp Christine Kelk appealed for anyone with information about Mr Byfleet's movements on Sunday evening to come forward.
Forensic experts
She said: "Mr Byfleet has died in the most tragic of circumstances and his death has caused deep distress to his family.
"We are committed to establishing the full circumstances of his death and who might be responsible for causing it."
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.
A body of a woman was also discovered at Bempton Cliffs on Sunday but her death is unconnected to Mr Byfleet's.
The scene remains cordoned off while forensic experts investigate.
