Woman in 'fake' attack claim held

A mother who claimed she had been sexually assaulted while out with her baby has been arrested for wasting police time.

The 19-year-old said she was assaulted in the Bradley Pitches area of Grimsby on Sunday afternoon.

She alleged that the man had made threats towards her and her baby.

Officers carried out a search of the area following the report. A Humberside Police spokeswoman said the woman was arrested on Tuesday.
