Motorists face delays at resort

Drivers have been warned of possible delays because of roadworks starting on a major East Yorkshire route.

Work to resurface Bessingby Road, in Bridlington, is expected to take at least six days.

Motorists will face temporary traffic lights while the work, which started on Saturday, continues.

Transport officials at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council have apologised to anyone facing delays and have said they hope there will be minimal disruption.
