Animals stolen from garden centre
Police are hunting thieves who stole 16 exotic birds and 22 tortoises from a garden centre in Hull.
The animals, including 10 African grey parrots and 12 horsefield tortoises, were taken from the centre in Hull Road overnight on Wednesday.
The other missing birds are two Amazon parrots, two cockatoos and two macaws.
Police said the parrots could bite and urged anyone who thinks they have been offered one of the animals for sale to contact them.
Reptile heating lights, thermostats and 100 dog leads were also stolen.
The animals and equipment are thought to be worth about £14,000.
