Police investigating the murder of a heavily-tattooed woman who was found lying dead in a road with head injuries have arrested a man.
The body of Theresa Bennett, 43, was found on St Peter Street, Hull, in the early hours of Saturday.
A 44-year-old man from Denbigh, north Wales, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Mother-of-three Mrs Bennett had head and arm injuries and her clothing was torn.
Police think she may have been dragged along the road after being struck by a vehicle.
CCTV studied
Detectives are keen to trace any car with new damage that may have been using the nearby Citadel Trading Estate close to where the body was found.
A police statement said: "Early indications are that the woman was with friends drinking in the area prior to her discovery.
"Officers have received useful information already including the fact that her friends last saw the victim in the Vault public house in Witham, Hull, around 0120 BST on Saturday."
Detectives are studying local CCTV footage and a post-mortem examination was being held on Sunday.
The man was arrested at his home in Denbigh on Saturday afternoon on suspicion of murder.
Detectives said he spent the night at a north Wales police station before being taken to Hull for interview on Sunday.
