Woman sexually assaulted in city

A woman was sexually assaulted in a city centre in the early hours of New Year's Day.

She was followed as she walked down Hereford's St Owen Street into Green Street between 0120 and 0200 GMT.

As she reached Nelson Street, she was grabbed from behind and assaulted. Her attacker then walked back along Green Street towards the city centre.

The man is described as being in his mid-20s. Police believe he may have been drinking before the assault.

He is white, 5ft 6ins (1.7m) tall with short dark hair and was wearing a beige jacket and dark trousers.
