Motorcyclist dies after accident

A motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Herefordshire has died in hospital.

James Muldowney, 52, of Mordiford, sustained serious abdominal and chest injuries in the crash on Tuesday morning, police said.

He was was riding a motorcycle which was in collision with a Peugeot 206 in Hampton Park Road, Hereford.

The road was closed for most of Tuesday as investigations were carried out. Police appealed for any witnesses.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said officers wanted to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles before the incident.
