The family of a 68-year-old man who died when he was hit by a car in Worcestershire have paid tribute to him as a "kind and generous" man.
Harold Neale, a bachelor who lived with his mother and one of his three brothers in Oldbury, in the Black Country, died on Friday evening.
He was hit by a car near the Royal Foresters pub on the A456 at Rock where he had a caravan.
The car was driven by a 19-year-old Kidderminster man.
Mr Neale, a retired labourer, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, where he died.
'Very kind'
He was described by his family as a quiet man who enjoyed wildlife, gardening and walks in the Wyre Forest.
In a statement his family said: "He was very kind, generous and gentle-natured.
"He was a very good listener and was always there if anyone needed him."
They said he spent every other weekend at his caravan and had five nieces and a nephew.
Police said he was struck by a silver Ford Fiesta.
Anyone who witnessed the incident has been asked to contact West Mercia Police.
