Man is injured in motocross fall

A 21-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in a motocross event in Worcestershire.

The man, thought to be from Birmingham, suffered a broken leg while competing in the event near Sandy Lane, Bromsgrove, on Wednesday evening.

"It is believed the man had fallen off his motorbike after going over a hump on the track," a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Onlookers moved the man to the side of the track before crews arrived.
