Man held after woman hit by car

Police investigating a hit-and-run crash in which a woman walking her dog was injured have arrested a man.

The woman suffered serious internal injuries when she was hit by a vehicle in the Broomy Hill area of Hereford on Saturday afternoon.

The 40-year-old is in a stable condition in Hereford County Hospital, police said.

Officers have urged anyone who saw the incident - or a green 4x4 car immediately after - to contact them.
