Arrest after three vehicle crash

A man has been arrested following a fatal crash which involved a car, a tractor and a double-decker bus.

The collision took place on the A49 near the Red Lion public house at Peterstow, Herefordshire, on Saturday morning.

The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car was treated for shock. The road was closed for several hours.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A 65-year-old woman, a passenger on the bus, was taken to hospital with a neck injury. The bus driver and other passengers were uninjured.
