Police warning over cash machines

Police in Hereford have issued a warning to people using cash machines after uncovering a fraud which has been going on for three months.

Money has been stolen from accounts after personal details were taken when members of the public used machines.

"A card dispenser, a leaflet dispenser, has been placed alongside and it's got a camera," Pc Charles Naylor said.

"As people tap in their pin numbers, those details have been downloaded straight into someone's laptop."

Pc Naylor, crime risk manager with West Mercia police, added that people have a number of cards ready to be cloned.
