Vehicle stuck on reopened bridge
A van became trapped under height restriction barriers on a newly reopened bridge in Herefordshire.
Colwall Bridge reopened to light vehicles at the weekend after being closed since August for emergency repairs for corrosion.
Resident John Haigh said it took five people to remove the van from under the heavy barriers.
A county council spokeswoman said the height restrictions were clearly marked and designed to stop heavy vehicles.
The route across the bridge, which links the two sides of Colwall village, has been designed as an S-bend to keep vehicles away from the dangerous parts.
The height restriction is 2.1m (7ft).
