Cricket club launches smoking ban

Worcestershire County Cricket Club has introduced a non-smoking policy ahead of the ban on smoking in public places which begins across England in July.

All buildings, walkways and seating areas at New Road are now smoke free, but smokers will still be accommodated in certain open areas, the club said.

A banner will be unveiled on the Basil D'Olivera stand next week.

A ban was introduced at Warwickshire CCC's Edgbaston ground earlier this year.
