A resident mops up after flood At least 70 homes were flooded and fire crews dealt with nearly 200 calls after torrential rainstorms in Worcester.

One house in Powick was struck by lightning as thunderstorms replaced the hot weather of the last few days. No-one was injured.

Some roads had to be closed because of rising floodwater.
