Missing girl reunited with family

Teigan Pitney

Police searching for a missing 11-year-old girl in Hampshire say she has been found safe and well.

Teigan Pitney was last seen by her older sister outside her school in Portchester on Friday afternoon.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said she had refused to get on a school bus and instead decided to spend the night with a friend.

She was returned home to her family 24 hours later after officers traced her friend.
