Probe into two barn fires at farm

The barns on fire at Kings Worthy

The fire service has begun investigating two barn fires at the same farm in Hampshire overnight.

More than 30 firefighters were called to the large barns in Springvale Road, Kings Worthy, near Winchester, on Tuesday evening.

There had initially been fears that horses were inside but all were accounted for. The barns were only being used to store hay and machinery.

The fire took several hours to get under control.

Fire crews remain at the scene to damp down the area.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
